Lost

Found
Between estate sales, garage sales, and things
people give us, we stumble across some really interesting stuff.
Here's some stuff from reel to reels we find. You never know what
you're going to hear.
With all of these, right click to download or left click to just play in

Tapes from the
Victor Jackovich Estate Sale
Tape 1
Imported 04.06.2010
This is from a 1/4" reel. Side one is so random you just have to
listen. Some of it is what must have been a band practice.
There are also weird little stories and other randomness. Side two
is almost all music from an old radio station in Des Moines, Ia. I
think KSO 1460 AM.

Tape 2
Imported 04.08.2010
This reel of tape had
Victor Jackovich playing on KSO 1460 AM. There is a hand written
date of 1966. Each side of the tape had a different performance.
Victor is playing what they called the electric accordion. He's
awesome. He used to play at Michael's on Fluer in the 60's.

Side 2
As I start to
google him, I find he
was ambassador to Slovenia and Bosnia. The plot thickens...I found
the
obituary for his wife, Mary Jackovich. There are still plenty of
tapes to go. One of which has a hand written letter and a typed
letter trying to get into college in Indiana. It also has his senior
picture. That one will get imported next.
Tape 3
Imported 05.02.2010
This reel of tape is labeled Blazers. I
can only imagine this was the name of the band Victor and his friends had
in the 60's. Some of this is rehearsal, some are songs off the
radio. There are some random goodies too.

Tape 4
Imported 05.09.2010
This reel of tape is Victor's audition tape to
get into college. I scanned in the hand written note and a typed letter,
plus his senior picture. There was only one side to this one.

Concord tube reel to reel player that came with the tapes.
Listening to them on this is creepily fun.
